Around 70 – 80 % of used tires worldwide are nowadays reconditioned and largely recycled. Used car tires often come from garages, car dealerships or collection points and must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. They usually consist of synthetic rubber, textile cord inserts, steel wires and other materials, which are sorted and processed in specialised recycling plants.
ARJES two-shaft shredders are used to pre-shred car, truck, earthmoving and agricultural tires (EM and AS tyires) and other rubber waste in order to separate the various components. Magnetic separators sort out ferrous foreign matter such as steel wires, which is essential for subsequent processing.
Waste tires do not rot and therefore cannot be disposed of in landfill sites. Proper waste management is crucial in order to make sensible use of these valuable resources and minimise environmental pollution. By recycling rubber waste, we not only help to conserve natural resources, but also to reduce environmental pollution and promote the circular economy.
With our two-shaft shredders, we offer effective solutions for various requirements in the field of rubber and tire recycling. This depends on the quantity of rubber waste to be shredded regularly as well as the different tire sizes and material compositions.
In the EU, the recycling of end-of-life tires is a priority. While thermal processing has steadily declined in recent years, the proportion of recycling has risen continuously. Recycled rubber tires have many positive properties and can therefore be used flexibly. Whether as floor coverings, asphalt additives, anti-slip mats, ramps, path edgings, noise barriers, sealants and much more. Products made from recycled rubber are durable and a successful example of a functioning circular economy.

Our TITAN class is the first choice for the demanding and continuous shredding of rubber and waste tires. The mobile TITAN 900 or 950 and the stationary TITAN 900 e-pu/d-pu easily handle large quantities of tires. The TITAN 950 e-pu/d-pu copes with particularly demanding tasks, such as the shredding of EM and AS tires with a high proportion of wire mesh, with maximum efficiency and is therefore ideal for intensive, continuous use in tire recycling. Small to medium quantities of car and truck tires as well as rubber waste can be processed with the mobile and stationary two-shaft shredders in our COMPAKTOR and EKOMAXX series. These shredders offer a moderate throughput and are suitable for medium-sized companies that want to combine efficiency with flexibility in the range of applications.
