Proper disposal and recycling of old electrical appliances makes a significant contribution to protecting our environment and recovering valuable resources. Electrical appliances not only contain significant amounts of metals such as copper, aluminium and tin, but also valuable precious metals such as gold, silver and rare earths.
At the same time, they contain hazardous substances such as mercury and lead, which can pose a risk to people and nature if disposed of incorrectly. With the help of modern recycling processes, these metals are recovered and at the same time harmful substances are treated in an environmentally friendly manner.
ARJES two-shaft shredders shred household and electronic appliances such as computers, televisions, washing machines, fridges and more to prepare them for further processing in certified recycling plants. Magnets installed as standard separate metals from plastics to enable clean sorting.
By using our shredding machines, small and large electrical appliances can be shredded equally efficiently and the volume of material significantly reduced. Our recycling machines are flexible and can be used in both mobile and stationary versions. Subsequent material separation into ferrous and non-ferrous components allows valuable raw materials to be recovered for recycling.
Every year, millions of tonnes of e-waste are generated worldwide, the proper disposal of which is essential for environmental protection. In Germany alone, over one million tonnes of e-waste are generated every year. The WEEE Directive (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) calls for sensible sorting into categories such as household and IT appliances in order to recover valuable raw materials and eliminate hazardous substances.
