Facts About Electronic Waste Recycling
Year after year, millions of tons of electronic waste accumulate worldwide, and their proper disposal is essential for environmental protection. In Germany alone, over one million tons of electronic waste are generated each year. The WEEE Directive (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) requires meaningful sorting into categories such as household and IT equipment in order to recover valuable raw materials and safely dispose of hazardous substances.
