The European Wind Blade Recycling Summit 2025 will take place on June 11–12, 2025, in Berlin and is regarded as one of the most important European conferences focused on the sustainable recovery of wind turbine blades. Organized by ACI, the summit brings together leading players from the wind energy sector—including blade recyclers, manufacturers, technology providers, environmental consultants, and researchers—to discuss solutions for the growing issue of decommissioned rotor blades and to promote innovation in circular economy and recycling practices.
A central topic will be the upcoming landfill ban on wind turbine blades in Europe, which presents new challenges for the industry. The conference therefore serves as a platform for exchanging insights on current EU regulations, innovative recycling technologies, and strategies for implementing a sustainable and economically viable circular economy in the wind energy sector. Confirmed speakers include representatives from well-known companies such as Vestas, Nordex, Mitsubishi, RWE, Vattenfall, and Iberdrola, as well as leading experts from research and development.
ARJES GmbH will also be present at this key event as a sponsor. At its dedicated information booth, represented by our Global Sales Manager Elke Ernest, the company will showcase its expertise as a solution provider for the efficient pre-shredding of CFRP and GFRP waste—including decommissioned wind turbine blades. With its powerful two-shaft shredders, ARJES makes a vital contribution to the resource-efficient processing of these challenging materials and actively supports the industry’s path toward a sustainable circular economy.
