Facts about Automotive Recycling

In Germany, several million tons of end-of-life vehicles accumulate annually, and their proper disposal is essential for environmental protection. According to the German Environment Agency, over 90% of materials from decommissioned vehicles are recycled. A particular added value of automotive recycling is therefore the recovery of these valuable raw materials, including metals, which can be reused in new products.

Efficient automotive recycling primarily begins with volume reduction and the separation of metallic and non-metallic components. Our two-shaft shredders are used by vehicle recyclers as both mobile shredders with diesel drives and stationary recycling plants with electric operation. They are the ideal solution for pre-shredding, as they can effectively process both car bodies and engine blocks. Furthermore, our shredders are also suitable for shredding tires of various vehicle types, such as passenger car tires, truck tires, EM tires, and AS tires.
